MAKEMIND ("Company", "we", "us") operates makemind.dev ("Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

  • Google OAuth: email address, display name, profile photo
  • GitHub OAuth: email address, username, profile photo
  • Email/Password: email address

Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google LLC). We do not store your password directly; it is managed by Firebase Auth.

2.2 Subscription and Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by our payment providers (Paddle, PayPal). We store:

  • Subscription tier and status
  • Payment provider subscription/customer ID
  • Purchase history (product, date, amount)

We do not store credit card numbers or bank account details. These are handled entirely by the payment providers.

2.3 Usage Data

  • Article view counts (aggregated, not per-user)
  • Ad impressions and clicks (aggregated)

2.4 Community Contributions

If you submit content via the Contribute page, we collect the information you provide: name, email, bio, website URL, and submission content.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Manage your subscription and tier-based access
  • Process payments and issue invoices
  • Send service-related communications
  • Improve the Service through aggregated analytics

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored in:

  • Firebase Authentication — account credentials (Google LLC, US servers)
  • Cloud Firestore — user profile, subscription data, content (Google LLC)
  • Firebase Storage — uploaded files and media (Google LLC)

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, storage, hosting
  • Paddle — Payment processing, subscription management
  • PayPal — B2B invoicing, payment processing

Each service has its own privacy policy governing data use.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Payment providers for transaction processing
  • Law enforcement when required by law

7. Cookies and Local Storage

We use:

  • Firebase Auth session — to maintain your login state
  • localStorage — to store theme preference (light/dark mode) and admin session

We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and associated data
